Good points but Blackbourn's comment about history from below also refers to the idea that explanation of Nazism (or even general histories of Germany) need to recognize the agency of peasants and their ability to influence events. German history was not solely written by Junkers, army officers and civil servants. Even the little people or unexpected groups like peasants shaped the developments that impacted German history.
